Nigerian young professional’s forum held its UK summit in London at the Park Plaza hotel with a lot of professionals in attendance. With the Theme: The Role of Young Professional In Fostering National Integration and Purposeful leadership in Nigeria the NYPF hampered on the importance for young professionals to make plans to return to their home country to contribute their wealth of expertise to the growth and development of the country.

 

Initiating talks on the summit, Adabara Abdullahi founder of Movebacktonigeria.com encouraged the young professionals there present to ensure that they have a plan and make haste to return to Nigeria. He said this decision they would have to make for themselves and for their country with a lot of perseverance and determination to break even in spite of any challenge they might face during the early relocation process.

 

The summit, which was more of an interactive forum, gave a lot of young professionals a platform to air their views in a conducive and highly intellectual debate setting.

The convener Mr Moses Siloko Siasia announced the launch of the NYPF in the UK and said this would bring about institutional support and expansion of existing achievements back home in Nigeria with more developments to come as a result of the awareness, drive and fire within young Nigerians in recent times.

 

Mr. Moses encouraged young persons to key into the NYPF network to ensure that we build a strong structure which will have an enduring back-end and that the much needed change has already begin to shape itself because of the academic and educational achievements of Nigerians both at home and across borders.

He added that the lunch of the U.K chapter marks a very remarkable achievement to the NYPF and it will help to foster speedy return of young professionals home to invest in the growth and development of Nigeria and bring about technical support, professionalism, Law and order and total removal of corruption in various sectors in the country and most importantly, through involvement in leadership.    

 

Goodwill messages came from some invited guests like Maj. Lancelot Anyanya who charged everyone there present to get the best from the summit by interacting with one another. No interaction can be greater than the interaction with the world; youths are the trustees of the Nation and the beneficiaries also. Adding that there will always be a challenge everywhere you live, if you have made up your mind to return to the country then they should be sure that there will be challenges but that should not stand as an obstacle. He encouraged the young people present to master their craft and the world would look for them wherever they were in the world.

 

In summary, all parties present at the summit agreed young Nigerians have a key role to play and a vacuum to fill in the Nigerian Political and Leadership scene and that Every Young Professional in diaspora should strive to play their role in fostering national integration and purposeful leadership back in our home country.  And to do this by representing Nigerian abroad in a manner or conduct that does not mar the image of Nigeria as an investment savvy country or a country that is beyond rising from its perceived negative indices.
